The announced release date
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announced ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet on June 9, 2026. The announcement invites players to set sail on October 23, 2026 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, the App Store and Google Play. Bandai Namco's official game pages in the US and Europe carry the same date.
Toei Animation's announcement on July 3, 2026 repeats the date independently. It says the grand opening launches on October 23, 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and mobile. With both the publisher and the rights holder agreeing, October 23 is the date to plan around.
Nintendo's own store pages back this up. The US listings for the Switch and Switch 2 editions and the UK listing for the Switch edition all show October 23, 2026. Three independent official sources pointing to the same day make it the most reliable date available.
Release date on each platform
All five platforms share the same announced date. Storefronts, however, do not always display it the same way. The list below shows what each official store displayed when we checked on October 19, 2026.
- Nintendo Switch: October 23, 2026 on Nintendo's US and UK stores.
- Nintendo Switch 2: October 23, 2026 on Nintendo's US store.
- PC (Steam): October 22, 2026 on the Steam page.
- iOS (App Store): expected October 24, 2026 in the storefront we checked.
- Android (Google Play): the listing showed a wishlist option; check your own region for the date.
Why Steam shows October 22
The Steam page we retrieved displayed October 22, 2026, one day earlier than the publisher date. Steam also showed the game as available for pre-purchase rather than released. No official explanation for the different day was published.
Store dates can depend on the region and time zone used to display them, but we could not verify the cause here. We therefore do not convert it into an exact unlock hour or a countdown. Check the date shown in your own Steam client, because that is what applies to your account.
Why one App Store region shows October 24
The App Store listing we checked showed an expected release date of October 24, 2026. Apple's page itself warns that the date shown in the store may differ from the actual release date. That makes it an estimate rather than a commitment.
The storefront we inspected was a single region, so its date should not be applied worldwide. Bandai Namco's announcement still lists the App Store among the October 23 launch platforms. Open the listing in your own App Store to see the date for your region.
Is there a global launch time?
No synchronised global unlock hour was announced in the sources we checked. Bandai Namco gives a date, not a time. Any countdown that names an exact worldwide hour is going beyond the official information.
Because stores show different days, the game may appear at different moments depending on your platform and region. The safest approach is to check the store you plan to buy from on launch week. We will update this page if Bandai Namco publishes unlock times.
Pre-purchasing or wishlisting the game in your store is the easiest way to be notified. Stores generally show the game as available once your region unlocks. Until then, the date on the store page is the most specific information you have.
Can you play before release?
Pre-ordering does not mean early access. Nintendo's UK store explains that a pre-order does not let you play before the release date. Steam showed a pre-purchase option, which likewise secures the game rather than unlocking it early.
UnGeek published impressions of a short demo on September 17, 2026, but we found no public demo or early access program for players. We also found no official free version of the full game. Be careful with any site that claims you can play the full game early.
How the release was announced
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announced the game on June 9, 2026. Nintendo of America published a Switch 2 announcement trailer on YouTube the same day. Toei Animation followed with its announcement on July 3, 2026.
On September 15, 2026, Bandai Namco published an official gameplay guide and two gameplay videos. Pocket Gamer reported on the gameplay reveal the next day, and UnGeek shared demo impressions on September 17. Each of these repeated or supported the October 23 plan.
Release date FAQ
Has ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet been delayed? No delay had been announced when we checked on October 19, 2026. The different dates on Steam and one App Store region are display differences, not an announced delay.
Is the date the same on mobile? Bandai Namco lists the App Store and Google Play among the October 23 launch platforms. One App Store region showed October 24 as an expected date, so check your own store.
Is the game coming to PS5 or Xbox? Neither was announced in the official platform lists we checked. The five announced platforms are Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, iOS and Android.
What to check before launch day
A few quick checks will avoid surprises. Confirm the date and price in your own store, because both can vary by region. Make sure you are buying the right edition, especially on Nintendo platforms.
Nintendo's US listing says the Switch edition cannot be upgraded to the Switch 2 edition, and saves cannot be transferred between them. On mobile, the App Store listing we checked required iOS 13.0 or later. Our platform pages cover each version in more detail.
About the game
ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet is a restaurant management simulation developed by Kairosoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. You join the Straw Hat Crew at Baratie Number Two to gather ingredients, cook with Sanji and grow a floating restaurant. More than 400 characters and over 200 furniture and decor items are promised.
