What is confirmed about gathering
Gathering ingredients is a core part of the game. Bandai Namco's gameplay guide describes heading out in search of ingredients for new dishes. Toei Animation's announcement says you work alongside Sanji to gather ingredients and cook.
The launch announcement describes the same loop: collect ingredients, cook creative dishes and design a welcoming space. Ingredients are the start of everything you serve. Without them, there are no new dishes or set menus.
None of these sources names a gathering spot. They confirm the activity, not the map. That is the main gap players searching for locations will notice.
Exploring more of the seas
Exploration grows with the restaurant. The gameplay guide says that as your restaurant expands, you can explore more of the seas and welcome more customers. The launch announcement adds that new recipes and opportunities are discovered across the seas as the restaurant grows.
This suggests that more ingredient sources open up over time. However, the sources do not say which areas open, in what order, or what they contain. We will not fill that gap with guesses.
Expansion is also linked to customers. The same passage says a bigger restaurant welcomes more customers and lets you meet more of the 400-plus characters. Growing the restaurant, exploring and meeting characters are presented as one connected progression rather than separate tracks.
What an ingredient pickup looks like
An official Steam screenshot shows an Obtained Ingredients screen. In it, the crew finds a Chunk of Meat, and Sanji says you might be onto a new recipe. A progress bar with the crew walking appears below the result.
The screenshot confirms that ingredients are obtained through an outing with the crew. It does not show where the crew went or how long the trip took. It is a single example rather than a location guide.
Chunk of Meat is therefore the one ingredient name we can confirm from official images. Other ingredient names will be added only when they can be verified. The same applies to any area names.
Who goes out gathering
The official material presents gathering as crew work. The gameplay guide lists heading out in search of ingredients for new dishes alongside watching Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew train to improve their service. In the ingredient screenshot, a group of crew members walks along a progress bar while the trip is under way.
The publisher has not explained whether the crew members you send affect what they find. It has also not said whether trips run while you serve customers. Both questions matter for planning, so they are on our list to test after launch.
Decor themes are not farming spots
Some players assume that famous ONE PIECE locations mentioned in the marketing are places to farm. The launch announcement says furniture and decorative items are inspired by iconic locations such as Whole Cake Island and Egghead. That describes decor themes, not ingredient sources.
The UnGeek preview also showed an Alabasta-themed interior. Again, this is a decoration style rather than evidence of an Alabasta ingredient route. Our best restaurant layout page covers these themes in more detail.
Why there is no location table yet
A location table needs several confirmed facts for each ingredient. We would need the ingredient, the destination, how that destination unlocks and what it yields. None of the checked sources provides even one such pair.
Our research also found no verified expedition duration, rarity percentage or fastest route. The UnGeek demo confirmed the restaurant loop but did not include a farming map or drop table. Publishing a table now would mean inventing it.
Locations from the anime are not a substitute either. A dish or ingredient associated with a place in the story is not proof that the game uses that place as a source. We only list what the game or its official material shows directly.
How we will build the table
After release, each entry will be based on our own play and screenshots. We will record the ingredient, where it came from and what had to be unlocked first. Every entry will also note the platform and game version.
If an ingredient can be found in more than one place, we will list each place separately. Entries we cannot reproduce will be marked as unconfirmed. The fields below are what each row will contain.
- Ingredient name
- Destination where it was obtained
- Unlock requirement for that destination
- Platform and game version tested
- Screenshot as evidence
Ingredients, recipes and customers
Ingredients matter because they lead to dishes, and dishes lead to happy customers. You mix and match ingredients and recipes with Sanji, then turn finished dishes into set menus. Customers each have food preferences, and fulfilling their requests brings them back.
That chain is why ingredient gathering will likely be one of the most searched topics after launch. Our recipes and recipe unlocks pages track the dish side of the chain. This page will track the gathering side.
Common ingredient questions
Are there ingredient drop rates? None have been published, and we found no source that measured them. Any percentage you see before launch is not backed by official information.
Can ingredients be bought instead of gathered? The official sources only describe heading out to find ingredients. They do not mention an ingredient shop, so we cannot confirm one either way.
Do locations differ between Switch, PC and mobile? No source suggests that they do, and the same game is announced for all five platforms. We will note any difference we find once we can compare versions.
Tips while you wait
For now, keep track of what each outing brings back in your own game. Note the ingredient, where you went and what you had unlocked. This makes it easy to spot patterns once you have a few trips recorded.
Be cautious with location lists published before launch. If a list does not show screenshots or name a game version, it may not be based on play. If you find a confirmed location after release, our contact page explains how to share it with a screenshot.
